The Index Acoustic Cabinet provide a cost effective solution for housing the natural noise made when embossing quality braille with a braille embosser.
This model is specifically designed for the Index Everest & Basic, V4 & V5 models. This Acoustic Cabinet is suitable for standard braille production in any office or classroom like environment offering pleasant noise levels.of over 90% noise reduction, and combined with a modern and attractive design, These acoustic hoods are the preferred choice for your Index embosser.
First determine the board type of your embosser. Press the [HELP] key. This will announce the current Layout, Firmware Date and Board Type. Select the corresponding Download Button for your Board Type. )If there is no Board Type announced then it is Type 1365).
Type 1365
For 1365 Boards, extract the two zip files from the downloaded file and copy them to the root of a USB memory stick. (Do not unzip these two files).
Type 1366
For 1366 Boards, copy the downloaded file to the root of a USB memory stick. (Do not unzip this file).
1. Plug it into the USB port on the rear panel of
the embosser.
2. Press [MENU].
3. Press [▼] until it says User Service.
4. Press [►] – should say Firmware Update
5. Press [►] – should say Firmware Update from Internet.
6. Press [▼] – should say Firmware Update from
USB.
7. Press [OK]
